Baseball Recap: Biggersville Wins Going Away Against Thrasher

Biggersville played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Thrasher Rebels. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly ten runs.

Dillon Johnson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsen Price, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Biggersville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thrasher only posted a batting average of .211.

The win made it two in a row for Biggersville and bumps their season record up to 3-12. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing eight strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.54 in the others. As for Thrasher, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Biggersville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Thrasher: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
