Basketball Recap: Oregon Beats Deforest for Their Fourth Straight Win

Oregon waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the DeForest Norskies by a score of 60-50. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Norskies are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oregon is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for DeForest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Oregon will square off against Beaver Dam at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Oregon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for DeForest, they will be playing at home against Monona Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Monona Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully DeForest likes a good challenge.
