Basketball Recap: Crestwood Extends Winning Streak to Five

Crestwood waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 61-53 victory over the Newman Catholic Knights.

Crestwood is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Newman Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestwood will venture away from home to take on Wapsie Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wapsie Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Newman Catholic, they will head out to challenge Northwood-Kensett at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Newman Catholic is facing Northwood-Kensett at the right time seeing as Northwood-Kensett is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
