After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lewisville, Mansfield Summit was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mansfield Tigers with a sharp 34-14 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Jaguars just coasted through the last quarter.

Mansfield Summit had a senior duo take command as Adarion Nettles rushed for 288 yards and one score while picking up 16.9 yards per carry and Ian Gebhardt rushed for 147 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The Jaguars also got a significant boost from Omogbolahan Daudu, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.

The victory got Mansfield Summit back to even at 1-1. As for Mansfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
