Baseball Recap: Central Valley Takes a Loss

Central Valley and Lassen squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Central Valley had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the Grizzlies. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Central Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conly Merritt III, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Lassen, their win bumped their record up to 16-11.

Central Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lassen, they will take on Gridley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
