Basketball Game Preview: Antioch Sequoits vs. Wauconda Bulldogs

The Antioch Sequoits are taking a road trip to take on the Wauconda Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Antioch took a loss when they played away from home on Sunday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Chicago by a score of 53-44.

Meanwhile, Wauconda strolled past Lakes with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 55-38.

Antioch's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Wauconda, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-17 record this season.

Antioch beat Wauconda 57-49 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Antioch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
