James Wood extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 29 on Thursday, bumping them up to 17-0. They blew past the Williamsport Wildcats 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colonels also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Kennedy Spaid paced James Wood's offense, picking up 19 kills. Spaid got some help from Kylee Plumb and her 23 assists. Spaid was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Williamsport fell to 5-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Williamsport lost, don't look at Cali McClung. Despite the final result, she had 12 assists and five digs.

Looking ahead, James Wood is taking a road trip to take on Warren County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Williamsport, they will be playing at home against Middletown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
