Basketball Game Preview: Inter-City Baptist Chargers vs. Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles

Inter-City Baptist is 2-8 against Plymouth Christian Academy since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Inter-City Baptist Chargers will head out to challenge the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Inter-City Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Plymouth Christian Academy likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Inter-City Baptist was able to grind out a solid victory over Lutheran Northwest, taking the game 58-48. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Crusaders are ranked 391st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plymouth Christian Academy). They took down Roeper 71-54 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Inter-City Baptist pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Everything went Inter-City Baptist's way against Plymouth Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January, as Inter-City Baptist made off with a 75-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Inter-City Baptist since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
