Volleyball Recap: Sun Valley Spartans vs. Providence Panthers

Sun Valley lost to Providence back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Sun Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Providence found their leader in sophomore Kyle Eirich, who had 13 digs. Eirich also put up an ace, which was his first of the season.

Sun Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Providence, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
