Baseball Recap: Toledo Christian Takes a Loss

Oak Harbor hit Toledo Christian with a four-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Rockets, falling 11-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Toledo Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Hamilton (White Uniform), who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Carter Kirsch also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Toledo Christian now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Oak Harbor, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toledo Christian will challenge Swanton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Harbor, they will take on Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
