Basketball Game Preview: Lefors Pirates vs. McLean Tigers

Lefors is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They fell 33-22 to Shamrock.

Meanwhile, McLean had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Mustangs 59-39. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

McLean pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.7 points per game. As for Lefors, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Lefors was taken down by McLean 80-33 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of McLean's Kasidy Russell, who almost dropped a double-double on 44 points and nine rebounds.
