Volleyball Recap: Pearl Comes Up Short

Pearl was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Union Yellowjackets. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pearl's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Union, they pushed their record up to 2-3 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pearl will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Union, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Neshoba Central on the 8th.
