Softball Game Preview: Keenan Raiders vs. Silver Bluff Bulldogs

The Keenan Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Silver Bluff Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Keenan is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 17-1 to Swansea.

Meanwhile, Silver Bluff hadn't done well against Bamberg-Ehrhardt recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Silver Bluff won by a run and slipped past Bamberg-Ehrhardt 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Red Raiders since March 23, 2017.

Ryley Bowman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bowman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Bowman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Kent, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Silver Bluff and bumps their season record up to 3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Keenan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
