Volleyball Game Preview: Perry Commodores vs. New Bremen Cardinals

After both having extra time off, the Perry Commodores and the New Bremen Cardinals will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perry has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while New Bremen will come in with four straight victories.

Perry had taken Elgin down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Commodores lost 3-0 to the Comets.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.

Meanwhile, New Bremen got the win against New Knoxville on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

New Bremen was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.

Perry better focus on containing Allie Bornhorst and Charlotte Nelson as the pair were huge in New Bremen's win. Bornhorst had five aces and four digs, while Nelson had 17 assists and eight digs. Nelson has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for New Bremen, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
