Basketball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Johnston Wildcats.

West Johnston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was CJ Poston out in front who shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points and five steals. Chase Gilmore was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Johnston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Midway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-50 loss against Hobbton on the 5th. As for West Johnston, they will look to defend their home court on the 12th against Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. The Vikings have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
