Volleyball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

Capital was the 2-0 winner over Poca when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Dots on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Korri Marin paced Capital's offense, picking up six kills. Marin got some help from Jada Fruit and her 14 assists. Grace King controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Capital now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Poca, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Capital and Woodrow Wilson will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Poca, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Wayne on the 28th.
