Soccer Game Preview: Golden Valley vs. Central Valley

The Golden Valley Cougars will square off against the Central Valley Hawks at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Golden Valley came up short against Pitman on Wednesday, falling 5-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Daniel Gaona, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Central Valley managed to keep up with Davis Sr. until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Central Valley lost 3-0 to Davis Sr. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Central Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Golden Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
