Preview: Elkhart Elks vs. Onalaska Wildcats
The Elkhart Elks will head out on the road to face off against the Onalaska Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Elkhart and four for Onalaska.
Last Thursday, Elkhart came up short against Cayuga and fell 52-41.
Meanwhile, Onalaska pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-58 bruising from Vidor.
Onalaska's defeat came about despite a quality game from Lucas Jackson, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Ryder Smith, who scored 13 points.
Elkhart has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Onalaska, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Elkhart lost to Onalaska on the road by a decisive 66-52 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Elkhart avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
