Softball Recap: West Geauga Takes Down Buckeye in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and West Geauga had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Buckeye Bucks 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Lely Percassi spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Borz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

West Geauga now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Buckeye, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6-1.

As of now, neither West Geauga nor the Bucks have any future games scheduled.
