Baseball Recap: Seminole Wins Going Away Against Monahans

Seminole had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Monahans on Tuesday. Seminole was the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over Monahans. Considering the Indians have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Obed Reyes made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Rowin Donaldson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Stephen Davis, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Seminole has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Monahans dropped their record down to 3-10-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Seminole will face off against Pecos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monahans, they will square off against Andrews at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Andrews has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
