Baseball Game Preview: Monrovia Bulldogs vs. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders

The Monrovia Bulldogs will face off against the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monrovia has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monrovia managed to slip by Beech Grove the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 13-3 to the Hornets on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Oliphant has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Jack Kluemper was another, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indianapolis Scecina Memorial.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Monrovia, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-4.

Everything went Monrovia's way against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Monrovia made off with an 8-1 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
