Baseball Recap: Webbers Falls Victorious

Webbers Falls won the last time they faced Canadian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors walked away with a 5-1 win over the Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Brutus Robinson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Webbers Falls: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Thadan Yandell, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Webbers Falls' victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Canadian, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Coincidentally, Webbers Falls and Canadian will both be playing Wilburton the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host the Diggers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
