Basketball Game Preview: Gaither Cowboys vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

Gaither is 0-3 against Bloomingdale since November of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Gaither Cowboys will take on the Bloomingdale Bulls. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gaither is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over Leto.

Meanwhile, Bloomingdale had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 69-56. Bloomingdale's victory was all the more impressive since the Warriors were averaging only 29.42 points allowed on the season.

Bloomingdale's win came from a few key players Gaither will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Izellah Kendrick, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Noelle Mengel was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Bloomingdale is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Gaither, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Gaither was taken down by Bloomingdale 50-12 in their previous meeting back in January of 2021.
