Grosse Pointe North's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Utica Chieftains 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Norsemen in their matchups with the Chieftains: they've now won four in a row.

Grosse Pointe North got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 30-32, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 16-14.

Harper Dallaire paced Grosse Pointe North's offense, picking up 20 kills. Dallaire got some help from Madison Jewel and her 51 assists. Lily Schanley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Utica's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kara Chambers, who had ten assists and eight digs, and Rachel Durecki, who had seven kills, seven digs, and one block.

Grosse Pointe North's victory bumped their record up to 17-15. As for Utica, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-19-2.

Grosse Pointe North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Fraser on the 25th. As for Utica, they will challenge Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
