Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Highlands

There's no place like home for Highlands, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 33-24 win over the Towns County Indians on Monday. This was payback for the Highlanders, who suffered a 39-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Highlands pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points over those games. As for Towns County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hayesville at 6:30 p.m. on December 5. As for Towns County, they will take on Rabun County at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
