Baseball Recap: Imperial Comes Up Short

Imperial came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Calexico Bulldogs, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 last Saturday.

Imperial saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Salgado, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Imperial's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Calexico, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Imperial beat Calexico by a score of 7-6 on Friday.
