Softball Recap: Au Gres-Sims Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mio-Au Sable, Au Gres-Sims was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Alcona Tigers 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolverines have posted against the Tigers since April 23, 2018.

Kayden Skacal was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Sophie Hudson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Au Gres-Sims' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Alcona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.

Au Gres-Sims will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hale at 4:00 p.m. on May 4. As for Alcona, they will take on Hillman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
