Baseball Recap: United Extends Winning Streak to Three

United had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Conemaugh Township Indians. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Indians last Tuesday, they had to take a 10-3 loss.

Connor Darr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brendan James, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory got United back to even at 10-10. As for Conemaugh Township, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

United does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Conemaugh Township, they will host North Star at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
