Basketball Game Preview: Hagerty Huskies vs. Palm Bay Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the Hagerty Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Palm Bay Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hagerty will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Hagerty is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since December 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 75-41 win over Astronaut. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the War Eagles are ranked 632nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Asa Kohn, who went 9 for 14 en route to 24 points and six rebounds. The game was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Ortiz, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Palm Bay's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy 59-55.

Hagerty's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Palm Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
