Basketball Game Preview: McLaughlin Phoenix vs. Bridge to Independence Wildcats

The McLaughlin Phoenix will challenge the Bridge to Independence Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. McLaughlin has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with eight straight losses, while Bridge to Independence will come in with six straight victories.

On Friday, Bridge to Independence humbled HEART HomeSchool with a 74-41 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Bridge to Independence pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.1 points. As for McLaughlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

McLaughlin was dealt a bruising 75-47 loss at the hands of Bridge to Independence when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can McLaughlin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
