The Beachside Barracudas will head out to take on the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Beachside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Beachside came up short against Tocoi Creek on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Barracudas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mallie Meadows was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Bishop Kenny unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Atlantic Coast by a score of 5-3.

Sophia Mulkey put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ava Farnham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Beachside's record now sits at 11-6. As for Bishop Kenny, their record is now 7-12.

Beachside might still be hurting after the 17-9 loss they got from Bishop Kenny when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can the Barracudas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
