Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Bobcats vs. Riverside Rebels

The Marshall Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Riverside Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marshall heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Izard County. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Cougars are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Riverside waltzed into their contest on Monday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Mustangs.

Riverside pushed their record up to 31-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Marshall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-12.
