Basketball Recap: Ryan Janidlo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Berlin Brothersvalley over Turkeyfoot Valley Area

Berlin Brothersvalley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 40-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams. The contest marked the Mountaineers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Berlin Brothersvalley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ryan Janidlo, who posted five points. That's the most points Janidlo has posted since back in February.

Even though they lost, Berlin Brothersvalley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Turkeyfoot Valley Area only pulled down five offensive rebounds.

Bryce Nicholson was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals for Turkeyfoot Valley Area. The match was Nicholson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Ryan, who had nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Berlin Brothersvalley's record is now 1-4. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, their record now sits at 3-1.

Berlin Brothersvalley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-53 win against Juniata Valley on the 16th. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-48 victory against Northern Garrett on the 17th.
