Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves vs. Brooklyn Hurricanes
The Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Brooklyn as Cuyahoga Heights made off with a 56-32 victory. Given Cuyahoga Heights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Brooklyn is ranked 690th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Brooklyn still got an impressive performance from Ashlyn Dyson, who scored 15 points. Dyson scored a full 46.9% of Brooklyn's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Olivia Callahan was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Brooklyn struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Cuyahoga Heights' victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Brooklyn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Cuyahoga Heights will be home for the holidays to greet Harvey at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brooklyn, they will head out on the road to face off against Wickliffe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wickliffe is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
