Recap: Littleton Lions vs. Evergreen Cougars
The Littleton Lions lost to the Evergreen Cougars back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Littleton managed a 58-54 win over Evergreen. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Littleton.
Littleton had a senior duo take command as Penny Urquhart dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds and Jacy Chandler scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Chandler is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vicky Whitney, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Evergreen lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elle Buenning, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Buenning has scored all season. Taylor Bailey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Evergreen were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Littleton only racked up nine assists.
Littleton now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Evergreen, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Littleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Evergreen also has no future games currently scheduled.
