Basketball Game Preview: Layton Lancers vs. Fremont Silverwolves

Layton hasn't had much luck against Fremont recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Layton Lancers will take on the Fremont Silverwolves at 5:15 p.m.

Layton is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Tuesday. They fell 55-46 to Weber.

Meanwhile, Fremont faced Syracuse in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Fremont walked away with a 51-41 victory over Syracuse. The win was nothing new for the Silverwolves as they're now sitting on three straight.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Layton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.

Layton lost to Fremont on the road by a decisive 50-36 margin in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fremont's Abigail Christensen, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards.
