Volleyball Recap: Baldwin Park Takes a Loss

Baldwin Park lost against Chaffey back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Braves fell 3-1 to the Tigers.

Baldwin Park started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-21, 25-23, 25-18.

Karen Moreno paced Baldwin Park's offense, picking up four kills. Moreno got some help from Mya Martinez and her ten assists. Katelynn Altamirano-Kurihara controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Chaffey, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Baldwin Park will head out on the road to face off against El Monte at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chaffey, they will welcome Ganesha at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
