Softball Recap: Chilton County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Chilton County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Cleveland Panthers.

Anna Cate Burnett was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ishunti Brown, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Chilton County's victory bumped their record up to 21-4-1. As for Cleveland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chilton County Tigers face off against Pelham Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cleveland, they will be playing at home against Holly Pond at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Cleveland is facing Holly Pond at the right time seeing as Holly Pond is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
