Baseball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Plainfield East's Third in Last Four Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plainfield North, Plainfield East was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Yorkville Foxes a 4-0 shutout. While the Bengals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-27-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Plainfield East is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Yorkville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Plainfield East will welcome Metea Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Yorkville, they will challenge Morris at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
