The White Oak Roughnecks are taking a road trip to face off against the Arp Tigers at 7:00 p.m. White Oak will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Last Friday, everything went White Oak's way against Sabine as White Oak made off with an 11-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Roughnecks in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.
White Oak got a massive performance out of Brady Greenwood, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Tyson McKinney, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.
White Oak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.
Meanwhile, Arp came up short against Tatum on Friday, falling 17-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Abraxton Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Lowe, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
White Oak pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Arp, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1.
Arp's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. White Oak has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Arp, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will White Oak keep running through batters, or will Arp buck the trend?
