Lincoln County won the last time they faced Thompson Falls and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions blew past the Blue Hawks 54-16. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Lambertsen, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one score. Rogan Lytle was another key passer, throwing for 74 yards and a pair of TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing.

Lincoln County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Lambertsen, Hunter Grieve, and Cayden Basinger picked up one apiece. Lambertsen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Thompson Falls lost, don't look at Mason Park. Despite the final result, he rushed for 78 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also picked up 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 75 yards.

Lincoln County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Thompson Falls, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Lincoln County will take on Fairfield/Augusta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thompson Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
