There's no place like home for Cascade Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Vashon Island Pirates 3-0 on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cascade Christian took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-3, 25-8.

Cascade Christian can attribute much of their success to Sophie Janho, who had six aces and three assists. That's the most aces Janho has posted since back in October of 2024. Lauren Rideb also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Cascade Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Cascade Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Vashon Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade Christian will take on Annie Wright at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vashon Island, they will face off against Chimacum at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
