Volleyball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Northwest Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the West Rowan Falcons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 4th.

Northwest Cabarrus was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 25-17.

Leading West Rowan to victory were Ava Baxter and Reese Poole. Baxter had 11 digs and six aces, while Poole had 12 digs. That's the most aces Baxter has posted over her last seven matches.

Northwest Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for West Rowan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Northwest Cabarrus has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Carson on the 2nd. As for West Rowan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against South Rowan on the 2nd.
