Stephenson scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the North Clayton Eagles. The loss was the Jaguars' first of the season.

Stephenson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayden Johnson, who rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 112 every time he's taken the field this season. Zabrian Boler was another key player, throwing for 278 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.2% of his passes.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stephenson fell to 5-1. As for North Clayton, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
