Softball Preview: Willow Glen Rams vs. Leland Chargers        
        
		
            
 The Willow Glen Rams will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against the Leland Chargers at 4:00  p.m. Willow Glen's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2  runs per game  this season, so Leland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 On Tuesday, Willow Glen didn't have quite enough to beat Archbishop Mitty and fell  2-1. That's two games in a row now that Willow Glen has lost by  just one  run.
  Alanna Clincy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.
 On the hitting side, Willow Glen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lea Crawford, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Leland came into Friday's   matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Leigh  9-7.
  Megan Lamy tossed a big game,   pitching five innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 At the plate, Leland got a  massive  performance out of  Hannah Ames, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ella Shaver, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Willow Glen's loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-6. As for Leland, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
 Leland's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Wednesday. Willow Glen has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9.2  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Leland, though, as  they've been averaging  only 2.8. Will Willow Glen keep running through batters, or will Leland buck the trend?
