Marietta put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Point Pleasant Big Blacks to the tune of 62-19. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked seventh in Ohio, while the Big Blacks are ranked 587th in West Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Point Pleasant still got an impressive performance from Delaney Pearson, who posted five points and seven boards.

Marietta's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. As for Point Pleasant, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Marietta will head out on the road to challenge Federal Hocking at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Federal Hocking knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Marietta likes a good challenge. As for Point Pleasant, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-12 win against Meigs on the 1st.
