Preview: Raymore-Peculiar Panthers vs. Blue Springs South Jaguars
The Raymore-Peculiar Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Springs South Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Raymore-Peculiar comes in on four and Blue Springs South on eight.
Last Friday, Raymore-Peculiar narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Belton 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Raymore-Peculiar has posted against Belton since January 9, 2015.
Meanwhile, even though Blue Springs scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Blue Springs South still came out on top. Blue Springs South walked away with a 67-59 win over Blue Springs. Given Blue Springs South's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Blue Springs is ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Raymore-Peculiar is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Blue Springs South, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8.
Raymore-Peculiar didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Blue Springs South in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 68-63 win. Will Raymore-Peculiar repeat their success, or does Blue Springs South have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
