Baseball Recap: Bloomingdale Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Bloomingdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Robinson Knights on Thursday by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.

Javier Navas-Hoyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Perez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Bloomingdale pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Robinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
