Softball Game Preview: Stagg Chargers vs. Lincoln-Way West Warriors

Stagg is 0-10 against Lincoln-Way West since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Chargers will welcome the Warriors at 4:45 p.m. Stagg has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stagg is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Lockport, falling 17-0.

Lincoln-Way West came out on top against Naperville Central on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Redhawks. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lincoln-Way West and bumps their season record up to 18-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
