Softball Recap: Carlisle County Takes a Loss

Graves County hit Carlisle County with a seven-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Comets lost 11-1 to the Eagles. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Carlisle County's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Graves County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Carlisle County will head out on the road to square off against Fulton County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pilots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.3 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Graves County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ballard Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
